Dear Saints and Aints

Peace to all of you.

The following is a report of how I spent your money:

A. Construction:

  1. Building for flour mill' 12x18' (with flour mill)
  2. Bore well 100' deep (with pump set)
  3. Toilet block with 44 cubicles
  4. Bathroom with 80 taps.
  5. Water tank 10'x15'x5' on a 20' tower.
  6. Shell for six staff houses. (Except slab)
  7. Shell for Kitchen/store room except for slab 25'x110'.
  8. Foundation dug for Dining Hall 120'x50'
  9. Jogging ring around playground.
  10. Gutter, out of the same stones next to that road for excess water during the rainy season.

B. Medical care:
(The total cost for medical care matters is around $5000.)

  1. One kid died due to heart problems.
  2. One boy (probably by now dead) contracted polio.
  3. Seventy-five boys have been in the hospital for 2 days to 4 weeks.
  4. Seventy-five plus had the mumps.
  5. 200 plus boys were down with a viral fever lasting from 1 to 3 weeks.
  6. We have a full-time nurse. We have a part-time doctor.

 
C. Transport:

  1. We maintain a 32 Seater bus.
  2. A Five„wheeler auto„rickshaw.
  3. A Tractor.
  4. Two mopeds.
  5. About 80 bicycles in various conditions.
  6. We transport 200 kids daily to schools in Nagpur.
  7. Every year during the summer, we provide transport for the kids who go to their various village. Many 750 km distance.

D. School:

  1. We employ 7 full-time teachers.
  2. Our school goes from grade one to grade five.
  3. We employ a school caretaker.
  4. We maintain a building consisting of 7 class rooms and one office.
  5. We provide tuition classes for boys grade 10 and up.
  6. We provide school uniforms for about 400 kids.
  7. About 500 kids need compass boxes, pens, note books, text books, etc. The
  8. smaller kids need less.

C. Ministry:

  1. I support seven students in various bible Colleges.
  2. I assist, financially, three pastors, pay rent for one group and help one Para-Church group plus one Christian book seller.
  3. We have a part„time chaplain for which I will now buy a motor cycle so he
  4. and attend properly to our kids.
  5. (Over the years at least a 100 young men followed the Lord through baptism
  6. Through his ministry.)
  7. We have weekly three meeting for the kids and one for the married staff.
  8. We daily have a short devotion early morning
  9. At the Len Lindstrom meetings about 20 of my kids made a commitment.

D. Other Ministry:
Our Home is open as a place for Rest and Recuperation for foreign teams or groups that are in the area spreading the Gospel. This includes Wycliffe teams, YWAM teams, the Celebrant Singers and others. The year before last we had the Celebrant Singers (23 people), a great group here for 4 days. This year we had a team of 43 Youth with a Mission group here. Now I helped to arrange Len Lindstrom 4 days campaign . . .

E. Kitchen:

  1. We employ eight cooks (2 men and 6 ladies).
  2. We need 60 gas cylinders per month.
  3. We need an average of 60 bags rice (100 kg = 220 lb each) per month.
  4. When we have meat or vegetables we need at least 100 kg = 220 lb.
  5. We provide the kids three meals a day with Good food and early morning tea
  6. with powder milk.
  7. Our monthly food budget is now about Rs.125,000 per month.

 
F. Staff:
1) Eight cooks. 2) Seven Teachers. 3) Six guards. 4) Managing committee (office, business, purchasing, accounting, building & hostel) = six. Assistants to Yohan (Superintendent of Hostels) ten student staff. They help
but also attend college.

G. Misc.

  1. Helping my oldest boy (financially) with his Hostel (about 300 kids).
  2. Writing an average of 5000 letters per year.
  3. Providing motor cycles for my staff.
  4. Run a farm.
  5. Planted 100 trees. |

If the above sounds like boasting then consider it to be boasting about you.
Without your money and prayers this all would not be possible. I can only stretch what I have. And what I have what you provided.

H. For this year I want to do:

  1. To open two more homes, one for girls and one for boys.
  2. To add to the number of kids in the various homes.
  3. To make our home a Shangri La for weary Saints.
  4. To put the Mawchi New Testament in the computer.
  5. To see several of my boys getting saved and taking baptism.
  6. Spiritually I want to be stretched more I want to fill that form called "SAINT” with Saintliness
  7. Materially money to do all the above and an extra $5000 for a photocopier.
  8. More sponsorships
  9. Emotionally to stay sane doing all that. . .

In closing.

Thanx, thanx and thanx again for being our friend. If possible, look beyond my seeming rudeness and crudeness, we are involved in something tremendous. I put my life on the line - how much more sincere can I be?
